HAUBSTADT, Ind. — Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, completed a perfect night with a 40-lap flag-to-flag victory in the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals feature at Tri-State Speedway. From the pole, Erb led every circuit to top Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill., and Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill. He earned $5,000 for his first-ever Summernationals win in his Tri-State debut.

Babb dominates FALS in 92nd UMP tour victory

FAIRBURY, Ill. (June 24) — Surging into the lead from the second row on the opening lap, Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill., led all 50 laps of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals main event at Fairbury American Legion Speedway on Saturday night. Babb earned $10,000 for his 92nd career Summernationals victory.

Erb overtakes Jackson on final lap at Tri-City

GRANITE CITY, Ill. — Tony Jackson Jr. turned back seemingly countless challenges from Dennis Erb Jr. and Chris Simpson over the last half of Friday’s UMP DIRTcar Summernationals feature at Tri-City Speedway. He couldn’t stop the last one.

Erb made his car stick in the middle groove on the last lap, allowing him to slip around the low-running Jackson exiting turn four and giving the Carpentersville, Ill., driver $10,000 and his 21st career series victory.

Pierce Wins at Spoon River Speedway

BANNER, Ill. — Not only was Bobby Pierce winless in UMP DIRTcar Summernationals action at Spoon River Speedway entering Thursday's event, the Oakwood, Ill., driver had a bit of a raw memory from his 2014 series event at the 3/8-mile oval.

Starting sixth three years ago, Pierce’s No. 32 clipped an infield tire barrier in turn four on the original start, forcing him out of the race as the last-place finisher.

Moyer Naps 96th Summernationals Victory
